What's the best breakfast for a Pinoy like me? Nothing fancy, really. I just need newly-cooked rice (never mind if it was overcooked as can be seen in the photo) and fish cooked in three different ways: deep fried, sauteed with onion, garlic and ginger and the ever-favorite salted, dried and fried daing. There is even a coconut vinegar dip nearby. No spoon nor fork needed as Pinoys can survive eating barehanded anywhere.
It's eating time!

This photo was taken in Siargao before we took off going to Sohoton cove. It was a good thing that we had a big breakfast because our lunch was done at 2pm already. We had so much fun we forgot to eat.

Sobrang nag-enjoy kami at nakalimutang kumain kasi.

I love Filipino food. :) Glad I live in Hawai'i so I can get it very easy :)
I miss filipino food, specifically breakfast. It has to be pandesal for me. I love the smell and taste of pandesal, next to a cup of strong barako coffee ^_^
totoo nga, mas nakaka enjoy eto pag nakakamay!
sarap ng totong :-) enjoy ngang kumain ng nakakamay.

nakakamiss ang ganyang mga almusal :D yum!

Wow! Sarap ng almusal. Miss ko na kumain sa tabi ng dagat at Siargao is one of the place i would really like to visit. Kamusta na?
sarap naman niyan! lalo na yung fried fish, I can eat that hindi lang for breakfst, kahit all day pa!
that's a very heavy breakfast. in my case, i only eat pandesal. hehehe... not unless im traveling.
nagtataka lagi ang mga amerikano at cuban co-workers ko how we Pinoy's can eat rice in the morning... sabi nila parang ang bigat daw sa tyan. Sabi ko kinagisnan na natin ito.
ohmygums: actually, in some articles that I've read, eating a heavy breakfast is much preferable than eating heavy dinner coz you get to burn the food you ate easily after breakfast.
there's nothing like pinoy breakfast...and the best part is that we can eat with just our bare hands :)
wow sarap ng breakfast pag ganyan..isa itong feast. :)
perfect breakfast for me!:)
