Ruby Tuesday#12 Kadayawan Time!

Yay! It is Kadayawan time this August so do not be surprised if I will be posting more pictures from my most favorite Philippine festival. Here is a picture of one of the participants of the Indak-indak sa Kadayawan. Braving the scorching heat and dancing to the beat of the drums, these kids danced with much enthusiasm and they got me really awestruck.

I wish I would have seen a festival like this when I went to Davao, but it was in march or april and probably too hot anyway. That looks very exciting!

The Philippines will always have a special place in my heart.

Hi Marites, this is a very colorful celebration with the 'indians' in full costume.
I do like to attend our American Indian pow wows, they are also very colorful.

Yes! This is so beautiful as your previous pic too ! So much people, happens so much in pic and so many colours ! Your culture is so much more colourfull that our Scandinavian culture :) All those colours brigthten upp a day !

Beautiful outfits perfect for Ruby Tuesday. I've never witness Kadayawan when I live in Davao for 3 years for some reason.

ok ra sa awa ng diyos...karon wednesday adto mi sa dallas...mag uban2 sa akong bana while he's working kay sa aug 24 pa man magsugod ang klase ni obing. mag skul na jud ang bata diri ba, and karon malingaw nako maminaw kay mag english2 naman...hehehe
