Jomel Gregorio is a destination photojournalist, travel photographer and a contemporary artist based Manila, Philippines. He is known for his unique photojournalistic and relaxed portraits using imaginative concepts.He has always been fascinated and passionate about visual arts, especially the connection between art and photography. Started his photography career in 2003 as a part-time job, and went full time in 2006. He reinvented “Tintography,” an alternative process and age-old method of painting over pictures, and his work was featured in IBC 13 and ABS-CBN in 2008.
Jomel’s work also has been featured in US and UK wedding blogs, including Rocknroll Bride ‘UK, Boho Weddings ‘UK, Love Olio USA, Bubbly, Bride USA, and Hotoccasions Philippines.
Lately, he’s been expanding his horizon by trying his hand on magazine work. He currently shoots for Asian Traveler Magazine, a Manila-based travel publication, which has brought him to cities around Asia as well as restaurants and other often high-end establishments in Manila. He not only shoots exotic destinations, but also ventured into food, commercial establishments, and residential subjects. He took up this project as a venue for practicing what he preaches in the classroom.
