August is just around the corner and one of my nieces is starting to prepare for the Kadayawan festival. She wanted to be part of the streetdancers of her school for the Kadayawan, decided to audition and got accepted. She is now giddy with excitement.
Every 3rd week of the month of August is Kadayawan Festival. Kadayawan is a celebration for the harvest season that started from among indigenous tribes. One of the popular highlights of the festival aside from the streetdancing is the floral parade which is usually done on the last day of the week-long festivities.
