La.Pi.S.#4 Soup (Sabaw)

Have you heard of shabu-shabu? The best shabu-shabu I have tasted so far was in a China restaurant while we were on a trip some years ago.

Shabu-shabu is a Japanese variant of hot pot soup or broth. The dish is prepared by submerging a very thin slice of meat of piece of vegetable in a pot boiling water or both and swishing it back and forth several times. The familiar swishing sounds is where the dish gets its name. Shabu-shabu roughly translates to “swish-swish”. Thank you, Wikipedia.

Anyway, here’re the ingredients…

And the finish product…
Here’s another heartwarming soup entry..
