I find this dNeero conversation very interesting as this situation is actually happening out there. People were paying some US citizens to marry them for a time and pay them (term of payment is subject to both parties’ agreement) until the final issuance of the immigrant’s visa. Since this is actually a very lucrative business in the black market, why can’t this be done legally and out in the open. At least, we get to be more upfront and honest about all these transactions and not pretend like it’s not happening when in fact, it is. This could actually be a win-win solution to the US government’s illegal immigrant problems as well as of the illegal immigrants themselves.

This is really true. Some do think that it ain't happening but it does. A friend of a friend told me that she knew of a pinay who happens to pay to a US citizen just to marry her. She happens to come here because she got a tourist visa and later on become a TNT. So she paid him a whooping $10,000 yup3x that is the cost of marrying her. But it doesn't mean that when you marry a US citizen you are already untouchable. There are so many things to do and so much to spend in order for a person to become a permanent resident or US citizen. Well in this case, the pinay got so bankrupt and ended up no where to go since the man always ask money from her. In other words, kinukuartahan lang siya. To make the story short, sa ngayon siya ay palaboy-laboy transfering from one city to another just to hide and keep away sa pinagkakautangan niya.
