We can already see the 50 ft. statue of Jesus Christ from the highway, a sign that we are already near our destination, the Divine Mercy Hills.

Nakikita na namin ang limampung pulgadang istatwa ni Hesus galing sa daan, hudyat na malapit na kami sa aming destination, ang burol ng Divine Mercy.

We had to undergo a 10-minute orientation before we were allowed to go up to the heart of the statue of Jesus Christ. The orientation included how the Divine Mercy Hills came into being and the do's and don'ts of visiting the place. After our orientation, the guard was given the sign to open the gates of the stairs going up to the statue.

Kasali sa oryentasyon kung paano itinayo ang Divine Mercy Hills at ang mga dapat at hindi dapat gawin habang bumibisita. The Divine Mercy Hills came into being as a group of Divine Mercy of Jesus devotees wanted to establish a place of prayer years ago. For months with limited financial resources, they scouted for the right location but negotiations never came through for varied reasons. However, when the group found this place which was by far the most ideal place for their purpose, things came into place swiftly and they were able to acquire the property. A sign that they found the perfect place. The Divine Mercy Hills is located at Brgy. Ulaliman, El Salvador, Misamis Oriental overlooking the Macajalar Bay.

Pilipino: Ang Divine Mercy Hills ay itinayo sa kagustuhang magkaroon nang lugar para sa pagdarasal ng grupo ng mga deboto sa Divine Mercy of Jesus. Kung ilang buwan silang naghanap ng karapatdapat na lokasyon kasama ang kakulangan sa pera, pero laging hindi natutuloy ang kanilang mga negosasyon dahil sa magkakaibang mga kadahilanan. Ngunit nang makita nila itong lugar na pinakatugma sa kanilang pakay, mabilis ang mga pangyayaring nabili nila ito. Isang hudyat na ito ang perpektong lugar para kanila. Ang Divine Mercy Hills ay nasa Brgy. Ulaliman, El Salvador, Misamis Oriental na natatanaw ang look ng Macajalar.
