Litratong Pinoy#167 Balak (Plan)

Photobucket
One of the vintage World War II big guns in Corregidor Island.

I have been planning to travel with my parents for a vacation. But for so many reasons, that plan never came through until my father got sick and died. That is why I really convinced my mother to travel with me last year. For this year, I want to take her to Corregidor Island which my father really wanted to visit but was never able to.

Pilipino:

He was well-known with the words, I shall return. The very words held on my Filipinos during the World War II. What I've observed though that in all his photos, he was always wearing his eyeglasses even if while he was walking through the waters of Leyte while wearing his soldier's uniform. His name was General Douglas McArthur.

The photo was taken at Corregidor Island.

Pilipino:

This is the tranvia that's being used to go around Corregidor Island. This is similar to the tranvia used by the Filipinoand American soldiers during World War II while staying in the said island.

Pilipino:

Outdoor Wednesday#11 Big Guns At Corregidor Island

Pockmarked with bulletholes as testament of the fierce battles it endured during World War II, this big gun at Corregidor Island faces the Manila Bay. One of the fortified islands, El Praile, sits silently on the horizon.
